Hello, I'm Andre Chapman, a Professional Genealogist, Investigative Genealogy Specialist, and founder of Andre Chapman Genealogical Nuggets.
My passion for genealogy began with a deeply personal mission. Before his passing, my grandfather, Raymond Chapman, shared his desire to learn more about his father, James Chapman. Although I was unable to answer all of his questions during his lifetime, that journey sparked a lifelong commitment to uncovering family histories and preserving ancestral legacies.
Over the years, I have conducted extensive genealogical research throughout South Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, West Virginia, Massachusetts, and beyond. My research has included the discovery of enslavement records documenting my own ancestors in Marion County and Greenville County, South Carolina, helping reconstruct family connections that had been hidden for generations.
I specialize in African American genealogy, DNA analysis, brick wall research, family lineage reconstruction, and historical records research. Drawing upon my professional background as an investigator, I apply proven research methods, evidence analysis, and investigative techniques to solve complex family history questions and uncover difficult-to-find ancestral connections.
My genealogical work has been recognized by the South Carolina Senate for contributions to genealogical research and historical preservation, particularly relating to the legacy of the Clark and Rosannah Williams Johnson family of Greenville County, South Carolina.
